leonardo Posted February 13 Posted February 13 (edited) I’ve got a 2017 Honda Civic, and I’m looking to get something modern and stylish. I’m leaning towards a matte black or dark gray finish but open to other ideas if they would really make the car pop. I’ve always admired those two-tone designs or even some subtle patterns, but I'm not sure how complex I should go for my first wrap. I’ve read a bit about cast vinyl and calendared vinyl, but I don’t fully understand the difference and what’s best for car wraps. I’m assuming cast vinyl is better for cars, but it’s a lot more expensive, right? Is it really worth the price, or should I go for a more affordable calendared vinyl? I live in an area with lots of sun, so I’m worried about fading. I don’t want the wrap to start peeling or fading after a year or two. Are there certain brands or types of vinyl that are more resistant to UV rays? Or should I get some sort of protective coating on top of the vinyl once it’s installed? I’ve been considering trying to install it myself. I’ve watched a couple of YouTube tutorials, and it doesn’t look that hard, right? But honestly, I don’t want to mess it up. I’ve seen some DIY vinyl kits online, and they seem to have everything I’d need to get the job done, but I’ve also heard horror stories of people ruining their cars or not getting the smooth finish they wanted. Has anyone done a DIY wrap? Was it a good experience, or did you end up regretting it? I’ve been browsing around online for places to buy the vinyl, and I’m a little lost. There are so many options, and I’m not sure which ones are reputable. I came across this shop called vinylcutter.eu, and their website looks pretty solid. Has anyone here ordered from them before? Are their prices competitive, and how is their vinyl quality? Any advice, recommendations, or personal experiences you can share would be really helpful! Edited February 15 by leonardo Quote
